How to add a holding manually

No file to import? Add a stock or ETF in seconds: a symbol, a quantity, an average price, and you're done.
  1. Open the add form

In Portfolio, scroll to Accounts & Assets and click + Add asset. The form appears right below.

  2. Enter the symbol

Type the ticker symbol — for example NVDA (US stock) or SHOP.TO (Toronto Stock Exchange).

  3. Enter quantity and average price

Enter the number of shares you hold and your average price (what you paid per share). Both must be positive numbers.

  4. Add to portfolio

Click Add to portfolio. Your holding appears, and WealthWise automatically records a matching buy transaction.

Canadian listings. Add the exchange suffix: .TO (Toronto), .V (TSX-V), .NE (Cboe Canada / CDRs), .CN (CSE). WealthWise then detects the CAD currency automatically.
Several holdings at once? In the same section, use Paste from Excel or Upload CSV instead of adding them one by one. Good to know: the free plan allows 10 assets per portfolio.

Start your portfolio — it's free and takes two minutes.
