WealthHow to import a CSV into WealthWise
Already have a file of your holdings (a broker export or your own spreadsheet)? Import it in under two minutes. WealthWise accepts CSV, XLSX and XLS files, and reads Wealthsimple, Questrade and Disnat exports directly — no reformatting.

Open your portfolio
Sign in to WealthWise, then click Portfolio in the left menu.
Click "Import file"
Scroll to the Accounts & Assets section and click the ↑ Import file button.
Choose your file
Your file picker opens. Select a .csv, .xlsx or .xls file containing your holdings.
Review your holdings
WealthWise reads the file, resolves the symbols (including Canadian listings) and adds your holdings. They appear right away in Accounts & Assets, with value, return and dividends calculated.
What file format?
WealthWise matches columns by their header name — order doesn't matter, and extra columns are ignored. The bare minimum: a symbol, a quantity and a price (or a book value).

Tip — don't want to build the file? If you already have holdings, click ↓ Export in the same toolbar: you get a file already in the right format that you can edit and re-import as a template.
Coming from Wealthsimple or Questrade? Export your holdings from your broker and import the file as-is. WealthWise maps columns by name — even a full 21-column export is recognized, and the listed exchange is used to resolve Canadian listings (CDRs in .NE, dual-class shares).
Good to know: dates are accepted as 2025-03-12, 03/12/2025 or 2025/03/12. The purchase date is optional — without it, the listed price is used as your average cost.
